"I think I made a great decision
in moving back here, I’m close
to family, close to where I was raised and that brings back a sense of peace."

Rossburn welcomes you!
The Rossburn Municipality, and with it the townsite of Rossburn, the Rossman Lake Resort and Sunset Point development, is located in the Parkland Region, Manitoba, about 3.5 hours from Winnipeg. Nestled amongst rolling hills and agricultural land, Rossburn is a small town in a rural setting with a population of around 1,000 residents.
The Municipality is welcoming newcomers – from starting your life as a family to making it your retirement home, Rossburn is a great place to live for everyone in all stages of life!
Rossburn is a fully serviced town – covering basic necessities complemented by affordable housing & good employment opportunities. Being home to wonderful businesses as well as excellent childcare, schools and seniors’ services, any needs that may arise are met. Agriculture, retail, and health care are the main economic drivers.
Our charming town stands out through its welcoming community and very engaged community groups. Further highlights are vast recreational opportunities during all seasons and Rossburn’s location in a scenic landscape. From Riding Mountain National Park and the Trans Canada Trail to heritage sites, an abundance of lakes, hiking/ biking/ cross-country skiing trails to plenty of local sports and activities.
It is respectfully acknowledged that Rossburn & Area are on treaty 2 and 4 territory, the land and gathering place of the Anishinabeg long before settlers arrived. The Rossburn & District Community Development Corporation acknowledges the harms of the past and present colonization and we commit to a meaningful partnership with our valued neighbors of Waywayseecappo (Waaweshicabo) First Nation in the spirit of truth and reconciliation. We encourage locals and visitors to the area to learn firsthand about the past and the experiences of the people through listening and talking directly to them. Additionally, Rossburn CDC recommends reading the book “Valley of the Birdtail” by Andrew Stobo Sniderman & Douglas Sanderson (Amo Binashii) telling local history.
